On October 29, 2021, MEI Awards grandly held final evaluation ceremony, this contest received a total of 7850 entries, a record high in the 11-year history of the contest, 10 professional judges from the fields of design, manufacturing and procurement, including Guanzhong Liu, responsible professor of academy of Arts, Tsinghua University, Chongxi Tang, vice President of China Industrial Design Association, and 10 professional judges from design, manufacturing, procurement fields gathered in Jinling to conduct on-site evaluation from the perspectives of product quality, product innovation, human-computer interaction, market value, social value, environmental protection, aesthetics.
U&I won the "The Most Potential MEI Awards" with unique design innovation capabilities and product research and development capabilities.
In the selection process, the design concept of "Environmental sustainability, green energy saving" was frequently concerned by the judges, and said that the application of photovoltaic power generation equipment, degradable materials, digital intelligent system and other new technologies will create a historic opportunity for Chinese manufacturing enterprises to overtake by changing lanes.
